Since May 2021, the Hawke’s Bay branch of House of Science has been working to improve the scientific literacy of students across the region. We do this by providing primary and intermediate schools with access to a library of comprehensive, bilingual, hands-on science resource kits. We currently offer 43 different kits, covering all aspects of the primary science curriculum, explaining real-world science that is relevant to New Zealand.
By supporting us, the Hawke’s Bay Children’s Holding Trust is contributing to increasing the critical thinking skills, academic and STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) achievement of students, and improving the mental health and wellbeing of both teachers and students.
